Terms of Use

Last updated October 7, 2026

1. Agreement

These terms apply to your use of Tabuture, the website at tabuture.com (the "service"). By using the service you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. What Tabuture does

Tabuture makes simplified guitar chord charts from audio files you choose. The chart is made in your browser, on your device; your audio is not uploaded. The service is free, has no accounts, and is provided for personal learning and playing.

3. Your files and your responsibility

4. Songs, lyrics and other people's rights

Songs, lyrics and recordings belong to their owners. Tabuture does not provide, host or sell recordings. Lyrics come from a third-party public source and are shown to you with your chart; Tabuture may keep them with its chart data to improve the service, and does not publish or redistribute them. Nothing in these terms gives you any right to the songs themselves.

5. Shared links

A link made with the share button contains the chord data and the song's name, not lyrics or audio. Share links only with people you choose, and do not use them to distribute material you have no right to share.

6. Accuracy

Chords, sections, timing, key, tempo, capo suggestions and the confidence rating are estimated automatically by software and can be wrong. A chart is a starting point for learning a song, not an authoritative transcription.

7. Acceptable use

Please do not:

8. Feedback

Ratings and notes you send are anonymous and help improve the service. By sending them you allow Tabuture to use them for that purpose without any obligation to you.

9. The service itself

The Tabuture website, its software, design and name belong to Tabuture and its licensors; some components are open-source software used under their own licenses. We may change, suspend or end any part of the service at any time.

10. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Tabuture is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to zero, except where the law does not allow such a limit.

12. Copyright concerns

If you believe something on the service infringes your rights, write to admin@tabuture.com with the details, and we will respond promptly.

13. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the new version will be posted here with a new date, and continued use means you accept it. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your place of residence requires otherwise.
